Bernoulli Goes Abroad

BGA: Bernoulli Goes Abroad!

The destination of the trip has been announced: Thailand! Now the destination is known, the committee is continuing the organization of the trip.

The group of Bernoullians will depart from Amsterdam to Bangkok on June 25, accompanied by professor Francesco Picchioni and will return to the Netherlands on July 13. The final group of participants will be determined at the end of January by BGA.

Amazing Thailand

Thailand, formerly known as Siam, is a country in South-East Asia, bordered by Myanmar, Laos, Cambodja and Malaysia. It has an area of 500.000 km2 and 67 million inhabitants and Bangkok is the political, commercial and industrial capital of the country. Thailand is also called ‘The Land of Smile’, not only because visitors love the beautiful country and historical riches, but also because of the friendly people and fascinating culture. It is a kingdom, featuring Buddhist temples, exotic wildlife and spectacular islands. With all its unique features and nice weather, BGA knows Thailand is a wonderful must-see.

As a group of chemical engineers visiting this beautiful country, the theme of the trip is:

Thailand: Engineering with a smile

During this 18-days trip, we will discover Thailand in its widest sense. Excursions to companies and universities will be organized in order to gain insight and knowledge in the working atmospheres in Thailand and the differences between the Dutch and Thai educational programs. We will visit different cities across this beautiful country in the South-East of Asia. Communication and integration with the local people will be accomplished by various social and cultural activities, making our visit to this inspiring country an unforgettable experience.
